How to read pressure & storm activity

Compare falling pressure with snowfall or precipitation to spot possible storm patterns. A pressure drop alone does not guarantee a storm. Each day pairs a light blue snowfall bar with a purple liquid precipitation bar (rain and melted snow). Both use the inches axis; snowfall depth and liquid precipitation are different measurements and are not added together. Snowfall and precipitation are separate source fields; snow can be reported even when precipitation is zero. Each metric uses its own labeled axis. How to read dew point depression

Dew point depression (DPD) = temperature − dew point. A shrinking gap means air is closer to saturation; it can reflect added moisture, cooling, or both.

These are daily values, not hourly observations. A small gap alone does not predict snow or prove the whole atmosphere is moist. Compare with pressure, precipitation, and the snowfall forecast. Missing or inconsistent DPD readings are left blank.
